Welcome Attackers,
The picture that I want to portray this week is hidden within the title.
The book of Job describes one of the harshest realities of life: God often seems silent when we are experiencing pain and suffering, while doing our best to please Him. Job was a man of integrity blessed with family, land, animals, and even servants. Most importantly, he feared God.
Satan’s first test for Job-
Job 1:9-12 says, “Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Haven’t you placed a hedge around him, his household, and everything he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But stretch your hand and strike everything he owns and he will surely curse you to your face. “Very well,” the Lord told Satan, “everything he owns is in your power. However, do not lay a hand on Job himself.”
Later on- a disaster struck Job, wiping away all of his possessions and even killed his family. But, verse 22 says this, “Throughout all of this, Job did not sin or blame God for anything.”
Therefore, when life’s unexpected overwhelms you and becomes unbearable, I want you to remember this:
‘N’othing ‘H’appens to you that does not pass through God’s fingers first.
